David Hockney : Fresh Flowers exhibition
at the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent
from 20th October 2010 – 30th January 2011

The first major exhibition of the artist’s work in Paris in a decade! Wih paintings made on an iPad and iPhone! It would seem that Pierre Bergé, Yves Saint Laurent and David Hockney have been hanging around together (no doubt in an ambiance of mutual respect) since the 1970s, so it’s only logical that the world tour of the artist’s new exhibition should start at the Fondation Pierre Bergé – Yves Saint Laurent in Paris.

On display you’ll see a number of new paintings created on the iPhone and iPad, mostly using the Brushes app. Not only will the painting already finished be put on display, but Hockeny will be e-mailing in new ones during the time of the show so that they can be seen too. How very 2.0 and 21st century!

If you would like to try out Brushes and become a millionaire painter overnight, click here for the iPhone version ($5/£3) and here for the iPad version ($8/£5). And don’t forget that we have wallpaper of La Belle Juliette for your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch here (even HD versions for your iPhone 4!), using the lovely photos by Jérôme d’Almeida.

The David Hockney : Fresh Flowers exhibition  is at the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent (here) du 20 octobre 2010 au 30 janvier 2011.
