A huge 3,000m² ice rink at the Grand Palais until 8th January 2025!

A 3.000m² indoor ice rink – allegedly the biggest in the world – under the freshly-restored glass roof of the Grand Palais. You can’t miss this!

Known as Le Grand Palais des Glaces, this vast indoor ice rink used to be a mainstay of Christmas in Paris until its venue – the Grand Palais – closed for renovation in 20212. Now that the work is finally finished, we once again get to see this jaw-dropping space, on ice skates.

Touted as the biggest temporary indoor ice rink in the entire world (not sure how we could fact check that one) there are three sessions per day, every day, until 8th January 2025:

— mornings from 10am-1pm,
— afternoons from 2-7pm, and
— evenings from 8pm until 2am! (except 24th & 31st December when there is no evening session).

Prices, which include the skate rental, rise as the day goes on and have gone up quite a bit (up to 50%) since the last edition in 2020: get ready to spend 25€ to skate in the morning and 36€ in the evening. Lower rates are available for kids (except in the evening) and there’s a small rink so they can skate safely.

Feeling peckish after all that sport? Lucky you – waffles and crepes are available to purchase on-site (prices not given on the website 😜).
