Tutankhamun exhibition at La Villette until 15th September 2019

With 150 original objects on show, the Grande Halle de la Villette is pitching their Tutankhamun exhibition as “the most spectacular ever organised” about the pharaoh!

Exposition Toutânkhamon à la Villette du 23 mars au 15 septembre 2019

The Grand Egyptian Museum is currently under constructions, and in the meantime, some of its collection is being lent for this Parisian exhibition.

150 objects will be on show, 50 of which have left Egypt for the first and last time. And these are not the casts that some exhibitions show – these are the real deal, taken from the actual tomb of Tutankhamun.

The last exhibition on the subject that paris saw was over fifty years ago (in 1967) and was seen by over 1.2 million visitors. It seems likely that that number will be surpassed for this new event.

It’s an exceptional chance to see these objects in Europe, and while the exhibition continues for several months, we think you had better book in advance so you don’t miss it. Online booking can be found here. Just keep in mind that admission is fairly expensive (see tarifs below)…
