The hyperrealist and slightly unsettling sculptures of Ron Mueck return to the Fondation Cartier for the first time since 2005, with a selection of recent work and three unseen pieces.Although Mueck’s sculptures are often frighteningly real, they are also often far too big, or mysteriously small. It’s an odd experience seeing something that looks real but very obviously can’t be. And even after 20 years, and a career that started with him working on the Muppet Show(!), Mueck still manages to surprise and disconcert.

To accompany to the exhibition, the Fondation Cartier is publishing an official catalogue, a shorter album, and a drawing book for children. Kids workshops are also on offer.
