Les Jours heureux exhibition celebrates the Olympic summer that was at Hotel de Ville until 1st March 2025

Relive one of the biggest and most emotional moments of 2024 in Paris (the reopening of Notre-Dame would be another) with the new free exhibition in the centre of the city at Hotel de Ville – Les Jours heureux (literally “The Happy Days”), a great reminder of the incredible positive energy of last summer’s Olympic and Paralympic Games!

If you loved being in Paris for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, or weren’t able to attend but wanted to, the exhibition Les Jours heureux is the perfect way to experience the most incredible moments of this exceptional event.

Through a selection of photos, enlarged into giant images or shown on huge screens, the adrenaline of the Games will come flooding back to you, a selection of iconic items form the Games will be on display (notably the incredible nDior dress worn by Celine Dion for the opening ceremony) and you’ll learn a few facts, including that people from 222 different countries came to watch, and that there wre as many female athletes as male ones for the first time in Olympic history!

The exhibition finishes with a dedicated corner for selfies, immortalising your visit. Get ready to have your personal space invaded (perhaps for the last time?) by the official mascots of the Games, the Phryges!

Also, while entrance to the exhibition is free, you must book the time of your visit on the website here.

It’s also worth noting that the exhibition has made an extra effort to be accessible to visitors with a handicap, including:

— a video introduction in French sign language,
— audiodescriptions for certain objects, and audiodescriptive guided visits,
— noise reduction headphones for those who prefer calm,
— an audioguide with QR codes for the exhibits,
— wheelchair-accessible toilets…

The exhibition Les Jours heureux is in the Saint-Jean room of Hotel de Ville (here) until 1st March 2025

Open every day of the week except Mondays and public holidays from 10am-6.30pm (8pm Thursdays). Last ticket an hour before closing
