An an exhibition partly inspired by the space in which it is being held – the Belle Juliette Gallery on the ground floor of the Hotel & Spa la Belle Juliette – Nicole Bousquet show us what the name Juliette inspires in her, together with other portraits of women who made their mark on Parisian history, such as Joséphine Baker and Camille Claudel.

Nicole Bousquet has her workshop in Nîmes in the south of France, and after a rich life of being a model, magazine editor, graphic artist and charity volunteer, she decided to dedicate herself to painting, with a string of successes that have seen her provide the poster image for the Feria de Nîmes and recently expose her work in Liège in Belgium.

Her exhibition at the Belle Juliette Gallery is mainly of variations on the theme of Juliette Récamier (whose life inspired the interior design of the hotel), with around fifteen paintings in all paying homage to the numerous qualities of this exceptional woman.
