Caroline is head receptionist at the Hotel les Dames du Panthéon. She tells us how she came to work there and reveals three of her favourite places nearby.

My name is Caroline and I am 23 years old. I’ve worked in the hotel / restaurant trade for three years now.

During my foreign language studies, with an emphasis en commerce, I started working in the restauratn trade until my graduation.

Two and a half years later, I decided to change tack and focus on the hotel trade, first as a receptionist and later as head receptionist at the Hotel les Dames du Panthéon, part of the HPRG collection.

I arrived in October 2023, and fell in love with the job because of the many similitudes with my former passion, i.e. the contact with the guests, which has a deeper aspect to it and often continues over time, which is not the case in a restaurant.

Caroline’s favourite places

La Truffière: a restaurant that features in the Michelin guide and a beautiful space where you can taste French haute cuisine.

Gelati d’Alberto: some of the best artisanal ice cream you’ll find in Paris – creamy with natural flavours.

The fountain on Place de l’Estrapade: at the centre of the shady Place de l’Estrapade, you’ll find this lovel fountain (and perhaps recognise the building from Emily in Paris!)
