This month we are pleased to let you meet Céline who you’ll find at the reception desk of the Hotel Design Sorbonne, where she performs work experience as part of her current studies.

She tells us how she arrived at the hotel and reveals some of her favourite places nearby.

My name is Céline Kwakye. I am 19 years old.

Since I was a child, languages have always been my passion.

I have even dedicated much of my life to studying and speaking languages, including English, Spanish and Twi.

After successfully passing my exams at secondary school in 2022, I wanted to be a journalist, but in the end I was drawn to tourism studies (a BTS Tourisme) with work experience, at the CFA Stephenson school.

I chose the hotel trade because it’s an area where I can not only use my linguistic skills, but more importantly give exceptional service to our esteemed guests.

As a trainee receptionist, I am the first person our guests meet when they arrive at the hotel, and this encourages me to give the best of myself.

Even to a modest degreee, I consider it a privilege to be able to contribute to our guests having a good stay.
