Thatoe works at the reception desk of the Hotel les Dames du Panthéon. She explains how she arrived at the hotel and tells us of two places nearby that she loves.

We came to live in France in May 2021 following the military coup in my home country of Myanmar.

I originally studied and gained a masters in business management from the University of Lincoln.

Currently, I work as a receptionist at the Hotel les Dames du Pantheon. The view from my place of work extends to the place du Panthéon, in the Latin Quarter, near the Sorbonne University where I studied to learn French.

With over 20 years in the international toursim industry, I have developed a deep passion for greeting people, helping guests and exchanging cultural experiences.

The places that I particularly like in this historic area are the rue Saint Jacques, formerly an important Romand road, and the Church of Saint-Étienne-du-Mont containing the tomb of Sainte-Geneviève who is known as the protector of Parisians.

Both are just minutes away from the hotel.
