You are cordially invited to Portrait Intime, a special harp concert by Alexandra Luiceanu in the Salon de musique at the Belle Juliette.

A true phenomenon on the harp scene in France, Alexandra Luiceanu has quickly made a name for herself as one of the rising stars of her generation. Her strong musical style combined with the depth of her choice of pieces make the astonishing young an essential contemporary harp player.

For her concert at la Belle Juliette, Alexandra offer s ‘historical promenade’, a portait of Juliette Récamier through excerpts of her writings, descriptions of certain moments in her life (her time in Paris, her exile in Italy, etc), plus pieces for harp written in her era (that she no doubt also played!!!) (Naderman, Dussek etc).

These are complemented by cult classical works (Chopin, Debussy etc) and nods to other famous Juliettes: for example Shakespeare’s, with a piece by Prokofiev, and a harp orchestration for Juliette Gréco to end on a more modern note. The idea is to offer an agreeable, comfortable moment that appeals to both music lovers and newbies.
