First, a quick reminder: there’s still time to enjoy the last days of summer and book a room with us at a super low rate. Just go to our website (which is cheaper than any other site on the web, offers you a free drink when you arrive and gives you 15% off the room rate with the code VIPHPRG). Don’t miss it!

Today we’re revealing a few more details about our new hotel, including some hints about where it is and what it’s called.

For exmaple, the hotel has the exact same name as the street it is situated in, and the street is in an area called the quartier de la Monnaie in the 6th arrondissement, a short walk away from the Seine and Pont-Neuf, and a ten-minute walk from the Louvre! There’s a great arthouse cinema in the same street (also named after the street) where we once bumped into nouvelle vague icon Agnès Varda. We’ll never forget it.

Charles Baudelaire lived in this street as a child, and later was a regular at a cabaret there.

It’s also here that a café, in around 1850, first started the tradition of French onion soup, and the street contains no less than six listed buildings!

Perhaps all this history helps give you an idea of the atmosphere of the area, and you might like to know that the feel of the hotel itself is both modern and retro.

So below you’ll find another jigsaw puzzle that, once finished, will show you another of the beautiful rooms on offer. Feel free to click on the fullscreen button so see everything more clearly, and there’s another button that allows you start off with just the edge pieces. Handy!

And in a couple of days, we’ll be revealing the name of the hotel, in case you haven’t guessed it yet. Looking forward to telling you everything!
