Perhaps you didn’t get the memo, but there’s an enchanted forest in Paris for Christmas 2019, it’s free and pretty close to our hotels!

If you’re exploring Paris over Christmas 2019, there’s a fair chance that at some point you’ll find yourself in the centre, not far from Hôtel de Ville, a place that we absolutely adore.

For the holiday season, the square in front of this impressive building has been transformed into a ‘magical forest’, an enchanted place where the whole family can have fun, for free!

This is where you’ll find:

— huge projections and Christmas illuminations on the square and the building itself,

— free curling lessons,

— two free old-style roundabouts for kids,

— an ‘enchanted village’ with ten stalls selling food and drink, as well as a selection of items created by craftspeople who have been awarded the the label “Fabriqué à Paris“,

— and of course, Father Christmas (until 24th December).

And until 2nd January 2020, the banks of the Seine between Chatelet and the Sully bridge have special projections, twinkly Christmas light and ‘stars’. Sounds like a great place for a family Christmas walk…
