The very first Christmas Market of the holiday season is upon us (the first of many to grace Paris for Xmas 2019!) and it’s in the magical setting of the Tuileries Gardens, with a big wheel, 1200m² skating rink and 120 chalets filled to the brim with gift ideas…

After being forcibly removed from the Champs-Elysées last year (it’s a long story) and relocated to the Tuileries Gardens, the Christmas market (formerly known as ‘The Magic of Christmas’) is back starting 15th November 2019 – a little early don’t you think? – with food, crafts and tons of idea for presents, all with a little more class than some other Paris Christmas markets (even if they do say so themselves).

For example, there are twenty chalets showcasing special dishes from twenty regions of France (sounds like trying all of them would be fun), and hip master cake-maker Yann Couvreur is using the event to launch his Christmas log, featuring his spirit animal, the fox. How cute is that?!

It has to be said, the Jardin des Tuileries is a magical venue, and really well situated, between the Louvre and place de la Concorde. If you’re in Paris around Xmas, you should probably go down and take a look… ?
