The 2018 Christmas markets in Paris

If you’re going around at the moment (and our hotels are the perfect starting point), there’s a high chance you’ll come across one or multiple Christmas markets, with their cute wood cabins selling everthing from food to scented candles.

However, not all Christmas markets are born equal. We have all the info on the biggest and best!

The Christmas Market in front of the town hall for thr 15th arrondissement (here) runs from 14th-23rd December, every day from 11am-7pm.

The stalls at this market are run by local shop owners and craftspeople, so you may want to take a look. The official inauguration is on 15th December 2018 starting 11.30am, with even more going on than usual!

On boulevard Saint-Germain we are lucky enough to have not one but two Christmas markets! The first is by the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church (here, until 1st February 2019), open from 11am-9pm (opens 10am weekends).

The other market is where the boulevard Saint Germain crosses boulevard Saint Michel (here, until 25th Decembre 2018), open from 10am-8pm.

In a spectacular setting with the cathedral just next door, check out the Notre-Dame Christmas Market (here) which is open from 14th-23rd December from 10am-8pm (9pm Fridays and weekends). They promise ‘real craftspeople’, (we assume they mean not that imported stuff)!

And that’s it for the best Christmas markets near nos hôtels.

If you want to go a little further afield, read our articles about two other Christmas markets you should swing by. One is called La Magie de Noël in the Tuileries Gardens (our article is here), and the other is the biggest market you’ll find anywhere, and it’s at La Défense, a short metro ride away (read our article here).
