Vincennes – technically outside the city limits, but easily accessible via metro and RER – is going all out for Christmas, with a special Christmas village, lots of special events, a giant skating rink and even tours of the place on a horse and cart!

Vincennes really makes an effort to make itself tempting for a pre-Christas visit, with a lot going on:

– On Saturday 15th December, there are light and acrobatics show by the arts company Fusion arts

– The Christmas village is open every day from 10am-8pm until 24th December (list of the participants here),

– Weird and wonderful creatures will be wandering around the centre of town every Satuurday (goblins, elves…),

– You can meet Santa on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd Decemebr,

– Horse and carriage rides around town are available on 22nd, 23rd & 24th December,

— There are two roundabouts for kids here and here…

Il y a aussi :

— An ice skating rink until 6th January 2019 with some pretty wild special events, (zumba on ice, a dayglo night, a une mousse night, a snowstorm night, a hockey tournament…). Admission 6€. More info here,

— A shop window contest, where your vote could win you a mystery prize…

It’s only about 30 minutes away from our hotels, so go check out Vincennes before the end of the year!
