If there’s on Christmas Village that’s worth a short metro ride (30 minutes from our hotels), it has to be the La Défense Christmas Village.

Spread over 13,000m², 250 chalets await you, as well as ‘immersive illuminations’ (?), an 18-metre high decorated tree, an ice skating rink on the roof of the Grande Arche (110 metres up!), puppet shows, an animated miniature village…

It’s the biggest Xmas Village in the Paris region – the Village de Noël de La Défense is back with heaps of different products, but also some unusual things like an artisan area sponsored by the local Chamber of Trade and Crafts.

This is where you’ll find handmade jewellery, decorations, books, flowers, chocolates and clothing, as well as displays and workshops.

Of course Father Christmas will be present, with a mailbox and phone so you can send / leave him a message, there’s gospel in the 4 temps shopping centre opposite, an ice rink on the roof of the Grande Arche starting 8th December (until 6th January 2019)…
