Betty Nkelani, chambermaid at the Hotel les Dames du Panthéon tells us how you arrived at the hotel…

I started my career in the hotel trade by training (while studying) as head housekeeper in a hotel next to the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

After finishing my four years of studies, I joined the team at the Dames du Panthéon as chambermaid and look after the cleanliness of the rooms every day to maintain our guests’ well-being. Sometimes, I also handle organisation of the lobby, and the laundry.

In a few years’ time, I’d like to become head housekeeper, thanks to my training in another hotels similar to the Hotel les Dames du Panthéon, because the atmosphere in the hotel is warm and friendly.

It’s the team spirit that I appreciate, something I try to help foster. In fact, my colleagues often mention my smile and happy disposition!

On my days off, I like spending time with my three children, and we often organise outings to the cinema to see blockbusters or matial arts films.

I also like shopping, and love looking round Printemps on boulevard Haussmann.
