The 2017 Christmas markets in Paris!

‘Tis the season to be… buying! And to help you find the perfect gift, the Paris Christmas markets are full of little wooden  chalets ready to suggest some out-of-the-ordinary-gifts.

Many of these markets are to be found close to our hotels, but do you know which one has a free 300m² ice rink?

Here’s all the info.

The Paris Christmas markets are part of what makes Christmas so special here. Some of them will be opening mid-December, but at least one is already in full swing, and it’s just minutes from our hotels!

The Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christlmas Market is to be found down by the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church (here) and is open throughout December from 11am-9pm (opens 10am weekends).

For the other Xmas markets, you’ll have to wait a little:

Starting 15th December (until 24th December), the Notre-Dame Christmas Market (here) is open every day from 10am-8pm (9pm Fridays and the weekend) with crafts, regional foods and events to keep the kids happy.

From 15th-31st December, the Invalides Christmas Market (here) is open every day from 11.30am-7pm and likes to think it’s a cut above the others, with champagne and ‘quality’ mulled wine, as Major General Christian Baptiste explains in this video…

Near the Eiffel Tower, not one but two Christmas markets await you!

At métro station Bir Hakeim (here) there’s the inventively titled Bir Hakeim Christmas Village  with around thirty chalets open every day from 16th December 2017 – 8th January 2018 from 11am-8pm…

…and starting 21st December (until 8th January 2018) the Champs de Mars Christmas Village (here) is open from 10al-10p with 60 chalets, activities for kids and a 300m² ice rink (entrance free but skate rental 6€ and gloves must be worn).
