The Xmas holidays are coming, and that means that the big wheel is back in on place de la Concorde, giving you an incredible view of Paris from 70 metres up.

Here’s all the info.

There are few things more magical than a ride on the Big Wheel of Paris (la Grande Roue de Paris) at Christmas. Its views of the Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triomphe and the Christmas lights down the avenue are breathtaking.

This year, you’ll be able to take a ride even after the holiday period is over – the big wheel will actually be in place until mid-May 2017! Nearly 300,000 people are expected to pay their 10 euros and rise gracefully up to 70 metres in a heated cabin. Views during the day are just as spectacular as at night – perhaps everyone should go up twice? ?

We went down one evening just before the attraction opened… Check out our photos.
