The first Five Guys burger restaurant
has opened in Paris!

Our English and American guests probably already know  that Five Guys make President Obama’s favourite burger, but perhaps you too are aching for some fine familiar food?

Now you can sample a taste of home even while you’re staying in Paris – the brand has just opened its first restaurant in Paris, in the 12th arrondissement (southeast, just north of the river) and soon you’ll be able to order online and avoid the ridiculous queues!

Here’s all the info.

Two years after the return of Burger King in France, Five Guys has set up shop in Bercy Village (here) with the idea of proving to the French that burgers can be decent food. Their menus are indeed more expensive than the other chains, at between 15€ and 20€.

As in all the brand’s other restaurants around the world, you have a choice between four burgers (hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon hamburger and bacon cheeseburger) and four hot-dogs, all of which can be customised to your heart’s delight. Everything is fresh – nothing is frozen. It would seem that Five Guys really wants to set itself apart from the competition…

Additional branches are to follow soon – sometime in 2017 at Gare du Nord is what the official site is saying, although Le Monde says that a Champs-Elysées outlet is opening before the end of the year in a space four times as big as the current one (apparently it will be here, taking the place of Häagen-Dazs).

From the photos we’ve seen, everything arrives covered dripping in melted cheese so be careful about the calories!

And feel free to eat as many peanuts as you like while waiting for your order – as ever, they are completely free! ?

Five Guys (here) is open every day of the week from 11am-11.45pm (and 2am on Friday and Saturday nights)
