This is the 44th edition of Le Salon du Cheval, with 2,000 horses, 450 stands and 150,000 visitors expected.

This year there are quite a few new things on offer, competitions (like the Longines Masters de Paris and the Arab Horse World Championship), an area dedicated to animal health and an impressive-looking “Night of the Horse”.

Although the horse parade that was due to come through Paris on 22nd November is understandably cancelled, the Paris Horse Show is still being held. The yearly events is absolutely huge, and unmissable for industry professionals and horse lovers alike.

New this year is the Equi’ Star competition which hopes to find the future talents of the horse world, there’s a spotlight on traditional horse-raising skills and the Nuit du Cheval (Night of the Horse) is hosted by Alexis Gruss for the first time, with his raunchy-sounding show “Alexis’ Stallions”.

And of course, as usual there are 450 stalls for you to buy the latest products and equipment, there are special activities for kids (like their first pony ride), vets to answer your questions… You can even choose and buy your horse on-site. How handy!
