It’s not often arts events are held at the Panthéon, and this is the first time a modern dance event has been held there.

As part of a new season of dance called “Monuments in movement” organised by the Monuments Nationaux, hip-hop is coming to the Panthéon for two evenings of Heroes, prélude created by choreographer Radhouane El Meddeb for ten dancers he found in the hall of the 104 arts space.

For the first time, contemporary dance is being held at the Panthéon as part of the ‘Monuments in movement’ programme which kicks off a cultural season that will culminate on 27th May in a special induction ceremony for four heroes of the resistance.

Not so much a show as a ‘choreographed essay for ten dancers’, proceedings start at 7pm precisely on 14th & 15th 15 avril 2015, organised in collaboration with the 104 arts space.

The piece has been inspired by the amateur dancers that go to the vast hall of the 104, tirelessly training to improve their dance skills, mixing all kinds of styles and music in a sort of joyous cacophony.
