THE ABBAYE-AUX-BOIS ROOMS

These rooms are in a brand new wing on the garden side, where Anne Gelbard has chosen to show Juliette’s modern, daring side, expressing how she loved supporting artists and encouraging anything avant-garde.

The interior design includes contemporary or vintage 20th century furniture, new materials, a slight shift in the colour scheme, scorched wood floors reminiscent of an artist’s workshop, lots of humorous touches and some surprises!
Each room includes a photo exhibition curated together with the Galerie Esther Woerdehoff with the photos available to purchase during your stay if you love them as much as we do!
So why are they called the Abbaye-aux-Bois rooms? Well that was the name of Juliette last home, which was not far from the site of the hotel, just off rue de Sèvres near boulevard Raspail. There’s now a street there called rue Récamier.

Juliette’s apartment looked onto a terrace by the garden of the Abbey, and our rooms overlook the garden too. A haven of peace!
From July 2014, you’ll be able to choose between a huge new suite, three duplexes, classic rooms and a larger superior room. Booking is open now.
