The first retrospective of this extraordinary photographer’s work that Paris has seen in 15 years, with 300 works and documents on view, covering 50 years of amazing creation.

Erwin Blumenfeld experimented with black and white and later colour photography like few others.

Starting with his collages and photomontages from the 1920s, the exhibition shows how women became the main focus of his work – both in fashion and nude shots – with a truly revolutionary approach.

To complete the exhibition experience, you can participate in guided visits, workshops and talks, and see the documentary The Man Who Shot Beautiful Women in English, in the presence of the filmmaker Nick Watson.
