The 2013 Paris Book Fair at Porte de Versailles
from 22nd – 25th March 2013

Although you’ll generally need a good command of French to get the most out of the Paris Book Fair, there are also graphic novels (or comics, depending or your degree of snobbishness), mangas, and a space for digital publishing, with a special section for cooking books, which are apparently all the rage thanks to the dozens of reality TV shows about cooking!

Here are all the details…A lot of people go to the Paris Book Fair essentially to meet their favourite author and get their autograph, but there’s obviously a lot more going on than just that.

These year Romanian literature is being honoured (there’s even an iPhone app to download), and Barcelona is the invited city.

There’s also an area about old and rare books (showcasing the workmanship that still goes into seom forms of bookmaking) and – for superhero fans – a Superman exhibition to celebrate his 75th anniversary!

In all, 45 countries will be showing there literary wares, with tons of events being organised by each. French-speakers can get every last drop of info from the press release at the bottom of this article (or click here).
