Commissioned by the Magazine Littéraire, this photo was taken shortly before Foucault’s death. Conscious of his impending death, the photo shoot was a discussion about death in general. This intimate and poignant portrait shows an intense moment between the philosopher and the photographer.

The Bruno de Monès exhibition continues until 26th June 2010.
