Every year, the Paris town council sets up public ice-rinks for the holiday period… Get your skates on!

There are two main rinks. Both are in place from 1st December 2007 – 9th March 2008.

Hôtel de Ville

This is the biggest of the two. There’s a large rink (25m x 50m), a smaller rink for children and beginners (14m x 21m) and a slide for kids under 12 (9 slides, 15-minute sessions).

Open every day – Monday – Thursday 12pm-10pm, Fridays 12pm to midnight, Saturdays 9am to midnight, Sundays and public holidays 9am-10pm
Admission: free if you have your own skates, otherwise 5 euros for the rental (free for children)

Montparnasse

One rink, 22m x 35m.
Place Raoul Dautry, Paris 15th arrondissement, métro Montparnasse-Bienvenüe (lines 4, 6, 12, 13)
Open every day – weekdays 12pm-8pm, weekends 9am to 8pm
Admission: free if you have your own skates, otherwise 5 euros for the rental (free for children)
