Organised every year for the past 25 years by the Paris section of the Amicale Internationale des Chefs de Réception, the David Campbell Trophy is awarded to the best Parisian receptionist after a rigorous selection process.

On the 4th November 2016, this year’s twenty-two candidates were subjected to a number of written tests, including replying to a letter in English. The top ten go on to participate in the finals.

We are very proud to announce that Valentin Kuhn, receptionist at the Hôtel Baume, and Lola Beliard, receptionist at the Hôtel and Spa la Belle Juliette successfully made their way through these challenging tests, and will thus take part in the finals to be held at the Hôtel du Collectionneur Arc de Triomphe on 13th December.

During the finals, each contestant will have to pass an oral test, consisting of a role game involving everyday situations often encountered at the reception desk.

This is the moment for the finalists to show off their skills with guests, something we pay special attention to at Hôtels Paris Rive Gauche!
