François Truffaut exhibition at the Cinémathèque from 8th October 2014 - 25th January 2015François Truffaut died 30 years ago at the age of 52, leaving us with milestone films such as The 400 Blows and Jules & Jim, offbeat stories told in a particular way that nevertheless appealed to everyone.

The exhibition follows the life of the filmmaker, with a mock-up of his office at seminal French film magazine Cahiers du Cinéma, shows his inspirations, explores his favourite theme of love-filled passion and shows portraits of him taken by famous photographers such as Richard Avedon, Raymond Depardon and Robert Doisneau.
