The festival period will shortly be upon us, and the second biggest festival in France just happens to be in Paris! It’s Solidays, is held for a good cause (Aids awareness) and comes complete with a funfair, kids area, silent disco and – of course – loads of concerts by artists like Franz Ferdinand, Woodkid, De La Soul, Metronomy, La Femme, Vanessa Paradis…

While some people seem to think that the Aids crisis is over, in 2012 over  6,300 people in France learned that they were seropositive.

The Solidays festival is a huge amount of fun for all involved, but also hopes to give today’s youth the information they need to take all necessary precautions in order to have fun while being responsible.

To help hammer the message home, it’s mixed together with loads of amusing this to do, including funfair attractions, a selection of tasty restaurants, a chillour area and ‘green corner’ with free massages, the silent disco (a nightclub with everyone wearing headphones to hear the music) and nearly fifty concerts!

Even parents can enjoy the fun – pre-book a place for your little cherub in the kids area, drop them off and then go enjoy yourself without feeling guilty.
A three-day pass for the festival is just 39€ – very cheap indeed . Get going!
